Interview
-
Please introduce yourself.
-
Of the many weaknesses I have, the one I especially want to fix is my airheadedness. To everyone I know at university, this may seem like a waste of effort, but I hope you will be nice and supportive. I'm a person who does things at my own pace.
-
Please tell us about your research.
-
We are conducting an analysis of organic milk consumption in the United States, as well as an analysis of the relationship between air pollution and economic development. We are looking at how consumer race, education level, income, and the price of regular milk affect the purchase of organic milk.
-
What kind of contributions to society do you expect as your research progresses?
-
Understanding how new foods that were not sold before have come to be purchased and by what type of consumers will provide sellers with hints for the future.
-
What can you learn in the seminar?
-
In this seminar, we will learn how to use economic theory to analyze real-world agricultural and food issues, and in particular, we will use microeconomics as a foundation to understand food and agricultural issues.
-
Please say a few words to all the students.
-
I am actually very touched every time I receive questions from students in classes and seminars. There are many reasons for this, such as the originality of your perspectives and the depth of your awareness of the issues. Please spend your four years of research with confidence!
