Research theme | The effect of using ICT in the geometry area of elementary school mathematics: Development of flexible ICT teaching materials that enable lessons to be created in children's words |
research content | During my 13 years as an elementary school teacher and 11 years as a junior high school teacher, I have become able to provide guidance in arithmetic and mathematics education that looks ahead to the nine years of compulsory education. I also learned that people across the country who are said to be teaching experts are able to "create lessons in children's words." I aim to teach problem-solving classes that value children's minds and believe in their abilities, as well as classes that teach and encourage them to think. Through this research, I will clarify the skills necessary for teaching and acquire higher practical skills. |

Main career, work history, and academic background | Graduated from the Aichi University of Education Graduate School of Education, majoring in mathematics education (Master of Education), and worked as a teacher at public elementary and junior high schools in Aichi Prefecture before assuming his current position. Received the Aichi Prefectural Board of Education Outstanding Teacher Award and the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Outstanding Teacher Award. |
