After graduating from our Faculty of Law, President Mika Suzuki passed the bar exam. She specializes in corporate law and corporate legal affairs, and has been active internationally as a lawyer qualified to practice law in both Japan and New York State.
As our Law School focuses on training legal professionals, Ms. Mika Suzuki, who has a wide range of experience both in Japan and overseas, was appointed as a professor in the Law School in 2010. She has contributed to producing many successful candidates (a total of 454 successful candidates since the school's opening).
She served as the Dean of the Faculty of Law from 2022 and Vice President from 2024. During that time, in addition to developing human resources in undergraduate education, as Vice President for Diversity, she promoted the creation of a campus where faculty, staff and students with diverse values can learn from each other from the perspective of diversity and inclusion, and worked hard to improve the organizational environment for education, research activities, etc. With her appointment as the new President, we aim to realize a campus where each student can thrive and "cultivate global citizens who practice value creation."
