Akio Nishiura, Vice President attended the 2025 General Meeting of the Association of Higher Education of Southeast Asia (ASAIHL)

On Tuesday, July 8, the 2025 General Meeting of the Association of Higher Education in Southeast Asia (ASAIHL) was held in Berti Moscow International University, Cambodia, attended by Akio Nishiura Vice President and others.
The association was founded in 1956 with the aim of contributing to the advancement of education, research, and public services through mutual support among higher education institutions in Southeast Asia. Today, it is an international academic institution with more than 230 universities from 26 countries and regions around the world, including Europe and North America, as well as Southeast Asia.
The General Assembly was attended by about 40 people from all over the world, including the Chairman of the ASAIHL Special Committee Jayal Din (former President of Universiti Putra Malaysia), and about 1,000 people from Berti Moscow International University and students from the same high school attended the opening ceremony. Under the theme of "Digitization of Higher Education," in addition to keynote speeches, lively discussions were held through various programs, and opinions were exchanged on cooperation between higher education institutions. Chairman Jayarddin highly appreciated the university's contributions to ASAIHL over the years and expressed his hope for further exchanges in the future.
On Monday, July 7, the previous day, Vice President Nishiura participated in the ASAIHL Board of Directors and introduced the Mika Suzuki President of the university who were appointed as the new directors.
