2025 Summer Japanese Language Short-Term Training Course Held

The "2025 Summer Japanese Language Short-Term Training Program" was held at our university from Tuesday, July 29th to Tuesday, August 6th.

This training is held every year with the aim of providing an opportunity to learn Japanese language for people both in Japan and overseas who are interested in Japanese language and culture. This time, approximately 30 people, ranging in age from their teens to their 70s, from 11 countries and regions around the world participated.
Participants learned the basics of Japanese through popular Japanese phrases, dramas, music, and more, and also deepened their understanding of traditional Japanese culture.

The following comments were received from participants:

  • I am truly grateful to have been able to participate in this program. I had a really great time and made many wonderful friends. I will never forget my time here. (From the UK)
  • My dream of studying in Japan has come true. I was able to use the Japanese I learned through anime in class in real life, and I felt like I had grown. I would like to use the knowledge and experience I gained here as a springboard for further growth in the future. (From Russia)
  • I felt that this training was one that anyone could learn a lot from, regardless of age or Japanese language level. I hope to go on to Soka University in the future. I look forward to seeing you all again. (From China)
  • This was an opportunity to experience firsthand the philosophy of Soka education. Thank you so much for providing an environment where participants can learn freely, regardless of their nationality or religion. I am very happy to have the opportunity to study at Soka University. (From Malaysia)
