The 2025 Makiguchi Memorial Education Foundation Scholarship Certificate Award Ceremony was held

On Friday, October 3, the 2025 Soka University Makiguchi Memorial Education Foundation Scholarship Undergraduate Scholarship Certificate Awarding Ceremony was held at the University Global Square. The scholarship was established in 2012 with a grant from the Makiguchi Memorial Education Foundation to support students who are financially struggling to study.

At the award ceremony, Mika Suzuki President encouraged everyone, saying, "By taking it as an opportunity to open up possibilities even in difficult times, and by encouraging each other and continuing to work hard, infinite possibilities will open up for your future.

After the two student representatives were awarded scholarship certificates, Takahiro Okabe of the Makiguchi Memorial Education Foundation Chairperson, Board of Trustees introduced that the Makiguchi Memorial Education Foundation was established by Ikeda Sensei to inherit the great life of Tsunesaburo Makiguchi Sensei, the father of Soka education, and to cultivate human resources who will contribute to the happiness of people and world peace. Please train yourself to realize your mission and dreams. I hope that you will be active in each field in the future."

Finally, Yoshihide Akiya Chairperson, Board of Trustees said, "The bonds of friendship forged during university life are the greatest treasures, and I hope that each of us will learn from each other, encourage each other, challenge our goals, and grow into individuals who will pass on the history of human education at Soka University to the next generation."
