The 3rd Soka University Ruho-Kai General Meeting was held at our university

On Saturday, October 11th, the 3rd Sodai Ruho-Kai General Meeting, which brought together international students and alumni who studied at TUFS, was held in a hybrid format between TUFS Global Square and online, and more than 400 international students and graduates from 29 countries and regions participated.

This gathering has been held since 2015 with the aim of creating an opportunity for international students to interact with each other and deepen their bonds with their alma mater and alumni. This was the third time in four years (face-to-face for the first time in 10 years).

At the general meeting, Yoshihide Akiya Chairperson, Board of Trustees gave a speech at the beginning, mentioning that it is the 50th anniversary of the university's acceptance of international students, and said, "Soka University has been developing with international students, and I sincerely support your continued success around the world."
Next, videos of past performances by active international students at the Sodai Festival Commemorative Festival were screened, and they shared their memories of their student days.
Next, on behalf of the graduates, Ms. Nobumasa Matsumoto Nicholas from Argentina (graduated from a separate department and undergraduate) and Ms. Yuko Koshikawa (graduated from Taiwan) gave a report on their activities, describing their experiences as students, their struggles after graduation, and their aspirations for the future.
Finally, all the participants sang the international student song.

After the general meeting, a roundtable meeting was held as the second part, and meaningful exchanges were held across generations and regions.
