The 55th Soka University Festival and the 41st Swan Festival were held
On Saturday, October 11th, the "55th Sodai Festival and the 41st Swan Festival Commemorative Festival" was held at the Ikeda Auditorium of our university. The ceremony opened with a fanfare by Pride of Soka, followed by a greeting by Mika Suzuki President.
This was followed by a chorus by junior college students, a performance by the Ichariba, a dance by international students from all over the world, a dance by the D.I CREW, a chorus by the Soka a cappella band, and a chorus by student volunteers, followed by a chorus of student songs by all participants.
After the student performance, a video of the speech of the founder, Dr. Ikeda, was screened, followed by a commemorative lecture by Cheng Yonghua, executive vice president of the China-Japan Friendship Association. Looking back on his interaction with the founder, Dr. Ikeda, he mentioned that it was a driving force for promoting Japan-China friendship, and encouraged the students who will lead the future by disseminating the idea of peace and promoting creative exchanges.
On the following day, the 12th (Sunday) and the 13th (Monday, holiday), the Sodai Festival and the Swan Festival were held open to the public on campus. In addition to exhibitions, flea markets, international student cafes operated by international students and Japan students, and events organized by club groups, events organized by the executive committee, such as an opening parade and an after-party festival, were held.
