An exhibition commemorating the 50th anniversary of accepting international students is currently being held (October 10th - December 23rd)

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the acceptance of international students, the "50th Anniversary Exhibition of International Student Acceptance" is being held in the lobby on the 1st floor of Global Square.

This exhibition commemorates the 50th anniversary of the welcoming of government-sponsored students from China on April 7, 1975, and introduces the Founding Spirit of "Be a fortress for the peace of humankind" and the history of international exchange established by its founder, Professor Daisaku Ikeda.

At the opening ceremony held in Global Square on Friday, October 10, President Mika Suzuki and Ms. Masami Uchida (Faculty of Education 3rd year) gave a speech on behalf of the international students. Next, Cheng Yonghua, Executive Vice President of the China-Japan Friendship Association, one of the first government-sponsored students to join the university, gave a speech and talked about the encouragement from the founder at the time and how his days at the university were great experiences.

There was a message corner at the exhibition hall, and participants commented, "It was a wonderful exhibition, and it is something that many people would like to know about in this day and age." This exhibition will be held in the lobby on the first floor of Global Square until Tuesday, December 23, 2025.
