2025 Fall Semester Scholarship Certificate Award Ceremony Held

On Wednesday, November 12, the 2025 Fall Semester Special Student Certificate Awarding Ceremony was held at the New Prince Hall, attended by approximately 100 students selected as special students, as well as President Yoshihide Akiya, President Mika Suzuki, President Masayuki Okutomi, Student Affairs Office President Masayuki Okutomi, and deans.
The special student system of our university is designed to encourage students with excellent grades after entering university, and scholarships are provided to students with the highest semester GPA selected from among students who have completed 16 credits or more in each semester semester. At the beginning, President Suzuki presented the representative students with special student certificates and said, "The fact that you have achieved excellent results in your studies and won the special student award is the highest filial piety for parents and family. Then, President Akiya stood up and gave a speech, saying, "Soka University is for the happiness of its students, and I hope that you will continue to do your best in your studies, cultivate solid skills at Soka University, and lay the foundation for your life." The students who participated said, "Balancing my activities as the executive committee chairman of the Soka Festival and my studies was a series of conflicts and anguish, but I was able to overcome my commitment to the founder in my heart. I will become an elementary school teacher who can contribute to the happiness of children, and I will definitely repay the sincerity of all those who support me."
