Mika Suzuki Presidents Visited Thailand's Exchange Partner Universities -Thammasat University Attended the Seminar to Commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Exchange

From November 4th (Monday) to 6th (Wednesday), President Mika Suzuki of the University visited four exchange partner universities in Thailand to confirm the long-standing history of friendly exchanges with each university and exchange opinions for the future development of exchanges.

The delegation visited Thammasat University on Monday, November 4 and participated in a joint seminar to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the exchange. The lecture was held in the lecture hall in the Faculty of Liberal Arts of the same university, where the Thailand office of the university is located, and was attended by President Spa Sawad and Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts Sirirat Approximately 50 people from the university, including other university officials and exchange students from our university, attended. The seventh joint seminar was held under the theme of "Reshaping Global Education in the New Era: Innovation, Inclusivity, and Interconnection". President Spa Sawad described the significance of holding the commemorative seminar and the history of exchanges so far. President Suzuki expressed his condolences on the passing of Queen Mother Sirikit and expressed his gratitude to the Thammasat University officials for their efforts in supporting the exchange over the past 40 years.
Next, International Affairs Office President Taeko Yasutake introduced the trajectory of exchanges between the two universities and the results of their work, and Faculty of Education President Hiroko Tomioka presented the university's Faculty of Education global education program.
At the press conference after the meeting, we exchanged opinions on research exchanges in the fields of science and technology, political science, etc., and the further promotion of exchanges among students.

On Tuesday, November 5, I visited Mahidol University and exchanged views with Vice President Siti Watt and Director of Strategic Partnerships Ram Doun. President Suzuki expressed his gratitude for the exchange program and discussed the future development of the program and its contribution to the local community through joint research.

On Wednesday, November 6, I visited Chulalongkorn University, which marks the 50th anniversary of the exchange, and met Faculty of Education with President Yotsawai and Vice Dean Chanisa Chanisa this year. At the beginning, President Tomioka and International Affairs Office President Yasutake explained the trajectory of exchanges between the founder of our university, Prof. Daisaku Ikeda, and the university, Faculty of Education President Tomioka and President Yasutake. Next, they exchanged opinions on further enriching exchanges with the University's "Value Creation Education and Research Unit" and exchanges between students, faculty, and staff.
After that, I visited Panyapiwat University of Management, which celebrated its 10th anniversary this year, and met with President Songpop and Vice President Pongvit. They reviewed the results of the short-term internship program and discussed further exchanges in the future.
