経営学部・安田ゼミが「第9回アグリカルチャーコンペティション2025」で優秀賞を受賞!
On Sunday, November 30, the final competition of the "9th Agricultural Competition 2025", sponsored by the Agricultural Competition Preparatory Committee and sponsored by the National Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives, was held remotely. Our university Faculty of Business Administration ・Yasuda Seminar's team Zinnia won the Excellence Award (2nd place) in the "Practical Research Field".
This competition, in which university students conducting research on themes such as agriculture, livestock farming, and local communities compete to show off their results, has two divisions: "Academic Research" and "Practical Research." This year, 45 teams from 14 universities participated. Thirteen teams advanced through preliminary rounds, which consisted of document and video screening, to compete in the finals. Team Zinnia, which won the Excellence Award, identified the issue of the large amount of inedible parts of deer captured for management purposes being discarded. They devised a system for utilizing these unused parts as ingredients in pet food, as well as a business model for selling that pet food. They verified the validity of their system with the cooperation of producers and consumers, and reported on their practical results.
Miyuki Yonemoto (3rd year), who served as the deputy leader, said, "I am very pleased that people who are actually involved in agriculture have evaluated the 'disposal of wild birds and animals', which is closely related to agriculture, and that this is the first step in making this issue known to many people. Although I am disappointed with the result of second place, this project was able to proceed so far thanks to the support of many people. In order to repay those who have taken care of us, we will do our best as a team without forgetting our gratitude, pride, and sense of ownership."
