On Saturday, September 27th, we held our sixth online event for high school students, "Bucchike Talk!", with over 60 participants from across Japan, including junior and senior high school students and their parents. The event aims to provide students with hints and new insights for considering their future university by having current students frankly answer their questions about the realities of university life and other common concerns. The event began with a live talk by two current students, who then shared a wide range of topics in a conversational format, including their reasons for attending university, the growth they have felt since enrolling, and their dreams for post-graduation. Next, current students gave radio-style talks in separate rooms, each focused on a topic such as university studies, dorm life, and extracurricular activities. Many questions were fielded via chat. Following the event, individual interviews with current students were also available for those who wished. Participants shared the following feedback: ・The clear explanations about the faculties and university life alleviated my concerns about attending university. ・My desire to attend Soka University has strengthened. ・Seeing current students speak with such enthusiasm gave me a clearer picture of university life.・The talk was easy to understand and very informative. Each question was answered carefully, so I was glad to learn what I wanted to know. The 7th event of this series is scheduled to be held in December. The 7th online event for high school students, "Let's Talk!", was held

On Saturday, December 20th, we held our 7th online event for high school students, "Let's Talk!", with over 60 participants from across the country, including junior and senior high school students and their parents.

The purpose of this event is to provide hints and new insights for junior and senior high school students when considering where to go to college by having current students honestly answer questions about the realities of university life and simple questions that they are curious about.

This time, the event began with a live talk between a Japanese student and an international student from Brazil, and then they talked about university life in a wide range of conversational formats, including how they decided to go to university, the growth they have felt since enrolling, and their dreams for after graduation.
This was followed by a radio-style talk by current students, during which many questions were asked via chat about university studies, dormitory life, and extracurricular activities.
After the session, those who wished to do so were given individual interviews with current students.

The following comments were received from participants:
・I was nervous, but the seniors spoke to me in a casual manner, which helped me feel at ease and increased my expectations for university life.
・By listening to many real-life experiences during the frank talk, I was able to get a clearer picture of what life will be like after entering university.
・I was able to learn about what university students feel and think, which deepened my understanding of university life and made me even more excited.
