The 56th Soka University Entrance Ceremony was held on Thursday, April 2nd, on a campus adorned with cherry blossoms.
The ceremony opened with a fanfare by the marching band "Pride of SOKA". After introducing the new students of each faculty, President Mika Suzuki mentioned the importance of taking on challenges without fear of failure in their studies and activities, and said, "Please take on various challenges such as study and clubs while talking with good friends who bring out your potential and weave a unique campus story."
Following that, there were performances by the Okinawan dance club "Ichariba Chodees" and the double dutch club "R2," welcome speeches by current students, and a speech of aspirations from a representative of the new students. In the finale, the participants sang the school song, expressing their determination for their university life, and the entrance ceremony came to an end.
