Ambassador Sussi Jimenez Núñez of the Republic of Costa Rica to Japan visited our university.

On Tuesday, May 12, Sussi Jiménez Núñez, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Costa Rica, and his delegation visited our university. After touring the university's Central Tower exhibition, the group had a discussion with Chairman Yoshihide Akiya, Vice President Akio Nishiura, and others.

At the meeting, Ambassador Jimenez stated, "We will strive to build relationships with Japanese educational institutions and contribute to the realization of a peaceful society through active people-to-people exchanges."
Vice President Nishiura touched on that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the founder, Professor Daisaku Ikeda, during his first visit to the Republic of Costa Rica, and expressed deep gratitude for the ambassador's delegation for their visit. President Akiya also highly valued women's social participation in the country and expressed their desire to work together to realize a diverse society that respects diversity.
