We held a get-together for apartment-dwelling students and home-dwelling students for the 2026 academic year.
On Thursday, April 30th, we held a social gathering for apartment and home students for the 2026 academic year at our university's Neuroir Cafeteria. The event was held to deepen exchanges between commuting students from apartments and homes who enrolled this year and faculty and staff. About 300 people participated, including new students, the Yoshihide Akiya Chairman, President Mika Suzuki, and other faculty and staff, as well as student representatives.
At the social gathering, faculty and staff, including the dean and senior students, gathered around the table to welcome the new students. We began with self-introductions about their hometown, then discussed classes and club activities, reflecting on their university life one month after enrolling. Additionally, lottery events were held where students could win prizes such as goods and daily necessities useful for university life. Every time the winning numbers were announced, it sparked great excitement.
President Suzuki gave a greeting and said, "Please make full use of the university's support environment and grow significantly through your studies and club and circle activities. I hope you will continue to take on challenges together with the friends you met today and have a wonderful four years."
The following feedback was received from participating students.
・I was truly glad that this social gathering was held right after enrollment, allowing me to deepen my friendships with many friends in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
・I felt reassured knowing that there is an environment where students can share their thoughts on learning content while having meals with faculty members, and they support each student.
・Not only were I blessed with peers in the same grade, but I also built connections with seniors, which gave me strong support. I want to continue valuing connections with others and expanding our network.
