The 2026 Spring Semester Scholarship Certificate Award Ceremony will be held.
On Thursday, June 4th, the 2026 Spring Semester Scholarship Certificate Award Ceremony was held at our university's New Prince Hall, attended by 73 scholarship recipients (including 9 international students), the Yoshihide Akiya Chairman, President Mika Suzuki, Student Affairs Office President Kojiro Ikegaya, and deans of each faculty.
Our university's scholarship program aims to encourage outstanding students after entering university, providing scholarships to those with a high Semester GPA from those who earn 16 or more credits each semester.
At the award ceremony, following a greeting from Student Affairs Office President Ikegaya, President Suzuki presented scholarship certificates to the representative students. Next, representing the scholarship students, Mika Ogawa, a fourth-year law student, said, "Through the power of the law, I want to become the 'last stronghold' for children and dedicate myself to the happiness of people across a wide range of fields," sharing her aspirations to pass the bar exam.
Next, Chairman Akiya gave a speech, highlighting the importance of "students' sense of growth" as a key evaluation criterion for the university, and said, "The growth of each scholarship student is the true value of the university. Please continue to strive and improve with your peers and greatly expand your own potential."
Finally, President Suzuki touched on our university's educational philosophy of 'students first' and expressed his encouragement, saying, 'I hope you will make the most of the educational environment that supports your growth and grow into individuals who contribute to world peace and social development.'
