Recognition for initiatives and outstanding ideas that make a significant contribution to achieving the SDGs (4th Soka University SDGs Good Practice Awards)
Soka University has established the "Soka University SDGs Good Practice" program to recognize and award students for their highly impactful initiatives (Type A), excellent ideas (Type B), and business continuity (Type C), with the aim of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations.
For the fourth annual competition in 2025, there were 11 applications, and the winning groups were recognized at the entrance ceremony on April 2nd of this year.
In both Type A and Type B, the "SAFE FEET PROJECT," which aims to protect lives from infectious diseases in Kenya, won the top prize. In Type C, a project to establish clothing collection as a cultural practice within the university was selected.
