A book review by Professor Takao Ito of the Faculty of Letters was published in the May 22, 2026 issue of Shukan Dokushojin (Weekly Book Reviewer).
The book review, titled "'Philosophical Practice of Remaining in Between': To Sustain Thought in an Age of Division," deals with Ludwig Almbruster's *Historical Existence and Reason* (edited by the Almbruster Philosophical Essays Publication Committee).
Regarding the book review, Professor Ito stated, "The author of this book, Armbruster, is a Catholic theologian and philosopher who taught at Sophia University and Charles University. His intellectual endeavors, which involved dialogue and reflection while standing between different cultures and ideologies, deserve renewed attention in today's increasingly divided society. This book makes us reconsider the possibilities of dialogue."
