We held a joint send-off ceremony for the 2026 Summer Overseas Training Program – a total of 11 training programs will be conducted.

On Friday, July 3rd, the joint formation ceremony for overseas training held during the summer vacation period was held in Global Square. This summer overseas training program consists of 11 sessions (8 countries and regions, with 103 participants expected), including language training and overseas internships hosted by the university.

To begin, Associate Professor Nobuyuki Kanazawa from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and Associate Professor Daniel Sasaki from the Faculty of International Liberal Arts sent their encouragements to the students participating in the training.
Next, after a video introducing all training courses and the coordinator, two student representatives shared their aspirations. Brown Erika (3rd year, Faculty of Business Administration), who participated in the Kenya volunteer program, touched on the importance of engaging with local people and the community, saying, "I am convinced that overcoming anxiety and taking on challenges leads to growth, and I will actively work to help the local people." Haruki Nakagawa (2nd year, Faculty of Education), participating in the AEON Financial Services Global Internship Hong Kong, explained the training overview and stated, "Armed with the skills cultivated at Soka University, we will work together with the trainees to tackle local challenges and grow into individuals who contribute to society in the future."
Finally, President Yoshihide Akiya offered encouragement, saying, "With pride and responsibility as students of Soka University, I hope you will spend each challenging day in your own place and return home with a grown self."
