The "Lu Xun-Daisaku Ikeda Dialogue: From Lu Xun to Daisaku Ikeda: East Asian Cultural Exchange and World Civilization Mutual Reflection Symposium" was held at Shaoxing University in China.

On Sunday, September 20th, at Shaoxing University in China, the "Lu Xun Daisaku Ikeda Dialogue: From Lu Xun to Daisaku Ikeda: East Asian Cultural Exchange and Mutual Reflection of World Civilizations Symposium" was held (co-hosted by the Lu Xun Cultural Foundation and Soka University), with Executive Director Koichi Kandachi and others participating.

About 60 researchers and university representatives participated in this symposium, where they exchanged views on the future of Japan-China cultural exchange.

At the opening ceremony, following the introduction of the guests, Shaoxing University Vice President Hu Yunjin gave a greeting, stating that the ideas of Lu Xun and Soka University founder Professor Daisaku Ikeda share the fundamental principle of the dignity of life, and stated, "We wish to inherit the spirit of both and deepen cultural exchange and sustained friendship between Japan and China."
Next, Zhou Lingfei, Lu Xun's eldest grandson and chairman of the Lu Xun Cultural Foundation, reflected on over 20 years of exchange with our university and stated, "We want this symposium to serve as a new starting point for mutual understanding of East Asian cultures."
Executive Director Shinritsu, referring to Lu Xun's philosophy of 'Philosophy of Hope,' stated, 'We want to pass on to the next generation the spirit of believing in youth and uniting hearts through the power of culture and dialogue.'

After the opening ceremony, eight keynote speeches were delivered as follows.
