We have concluded a "High School-University Collaboration Agreement" with Showa Daiichi Gakuen High School.

The signing ceremony for the university-high school partnership agreement between our university and Showa Daiichi Gakuen High School was held on Thursday, October 1, at our university Global Square. Principal Toshiya Katsumi and Career Guidance Officer Rie Maeda attended from the school, while President Mika Suzuki from our university and Hideaki Suzuki, a fourth-year graduate from the Faculty of Education, attended the event.

Showa Daiichi Gakuen High School is a private high school with the goal of nurturing students who can think and act proactively, guide them to understanding, and contribute to society. It is a private high school with an open educational policy that integrates students, parents, and faculty. It is characterized by a variety of courses tailored to each student (Design Course, English Course, Selective Advancement Course, Comprehensive Advancement Course).

Through this agreement, we are envisioning the implementation of the following types of collaboration and cooperation projects.
・Conducting visiting lectures and talks by university faculty
・Dispatch and learning support for our students (such as students and assistants) in inquiry-based learning
・Participation in university tours, open classes, open campus events, etc. by students
・Exchange of educational information and interaction among faculty and staff

During the discussion, Principal Katsumi expressed his expectations, saying, "With this collaboration, we hope to proactively develop each student's strengths over the three years of high school and further expand their learning skills to survive in a rapidly changing era."
President Suzuki stated, "We aim to foster talent who can work together and thrive in society, and we also want to deepen collaboration so that students can concretely envision learning at the university through campus tours and exchanges."
