We have signed a "High School-University Collaboration Agreement" with Tokyo Metropolitan Komae High School.

The signing ceremony for the university-high school partnership agreement between our university and Tokyo Metropolitan Komae High School was held on Tuesday, October 20, at our university Global Square. Principal Seiji Hosono and others from the school attended, and President Mika Suzuki from our university attended the event.

Komae High School emphasizes the principle of "balancing academics and sports," balancing academics and club activities, and is committed to supporting career paths. Additionally, the school focuses on international understanding education, such as short-term exchange programs with an Australian high school with over 30 years of history and overseas study trips in Taiwan, and is committed to nurturing global talent.

Through this agreement, we are envisioning the implementation of the following types of collaboration and cooperation projects.
・Conducting visiting lectures and talks by university faculty
・Dispatch and learning support for our students (such as students and assistants) in inquiry-based learning
・Participation in university tours, open classes, open campus events, etc. by students
・Exchange of educational information and interaction among faculty and staff

During the discussion, Principal Hosono explained the school's international exchange initiatives and expressed his expectations, saying, "With this agreement signed, we will further strengthen learning support to help students shift their perspectives from Japan to the world, and leverage the similarities with your university in international exchange."
President Suzuki expressed his gratitude for the exchanges with students at the school through inquiry-based learning and said, "I believe what the younger generation experiences is important. We want to work together not only through academics but also through extracurricular activities and overseas experiences, to nurture individuals who can thrive in society."
