A paper by Lecturer Masato Nihei of the Faculty of Education has been published in an international academic journal.

A paper titled "An integrative approach to the mechanisms of involuntary and voluntary memories based on learning theory: Context modulates memory retrieval," for which Lecturer Masato Nihei of the Faculty of Education served as second author, has been published in the international academic journal in the field of cognitive psychology, "Journal of Applied Research in Memory and Cognition."

The *Journal of Applied Research in Memory and Cognition* is a peer-reviewed international academic journal that covers a wide range of applied research in cognitive psychology.
This paper proposes a new theoretical framework for autobiographical memory, a category of human memory, arguing that the circumstances (context) in which a memory is recalled play a crucial role in its retrieval.

Lecturer Nihei stated, "Until now, in the field of learning psychology, I have conducted theoretical research on how animals and humans retain the experience of events and how that experience influences their actual behavior. This paper is a new attempt to apply that framework to memory research in the field of cognitive psychology. I would like to continue to advance this kind of advanced theoretical research in the future."
