Research faculty from Xiamen University, Tsinghua University, China, reported their research results

We invited two research faculty members from Xiamen University and Tsinghua University in China, which have signed exchange agreements with our university, and held a report meeting on the research results during their stay from August ~ September.

At the debriefing session, Professor Zheng Guoqing of Xiamen University gave a report on the theme of "Modernist Literature in Japan and China and Modernity in East Asia". By comparing the contemporary literature of Japan, China, and Taiwan, we clarified how "vernacular literature" interacted to form the modern literary system in East Asia. The literary development of Japan's Futabatei Shimi and the role of the Shirakaba school were discussed in relation to the cases of each country and region.

In addition, Associate Professor Liang Shuang of Tsinghua University gave a report titled "Research on Japanese Education to Cultivate Communication Skills".
