Faculty of Education Lecturer Masahide Tsuda's book "Mathematics and Mathematics Education with Generative AI: 25 Practical Examples That Can Be Used in Tomorrow's Classes" has been published
The book "Mathematics and Mathematics Education with Generative AI: 25 Practical Examples That Can Be Used for Tomorrow's Classes" (Kyoritsu Publishing) was published on Friday, April 3. Faculty of Education
This book aims to present appropriate and effective ways to use generative AI in mathematics and mathematics education as effective use of ICT and generative AI is being sought in school settings ahead of the next revision of the course of study. While there is a lot of accumulation in the use of ICT in education, discussions on the use of generative AI are still in the early stages, including its pros and cons and its suitability as a teaching material. In response to this situation, this book introduces 25 examples of specific teaching materials using generative AI to help guide children who will lead the "NEXT GIGA" era promoted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
At the time of publication, Lecturer Tsuda said, "Regarding the elementary school mathematics department, it includes practical examples of thinking, 'If there was generative AI when I was an elementary school teacher...', and practical examples with the hope that 'as a university teacher, I want you to use it in this way in the educational field!' I hope it will help us consider 'math and mathematics education' that is strong and not swayed by generative AI."
