A paper authored by Lecturer Masato Nihei of the Faculty of Education has been published in an international academic journal.

A paper titled "Interpretation of Weibull model for individual learning curves in Pavlovian conditioning," with Lecturer Masato Nihei of the Faculty of Education as the lead author, has been published in the international academic journal *Learning & Behavior* in the field of basic psychology.

This paper focuses on "fear conditioning," an experimental study that examines the mechanisms by which fear and anxiety are formed, and analyzes the mathematical characteristics of learning processes that differ from person to person. Specifically, we use a mathematical model based on probability distributions called the Weibull model to investigate how the learning process of individuals can be captured.

Lecturer Nihei stated, "In order to alleviate the fears and anxieties that many people face, it is extremely important to understand in detail how each individual learns. We would like to continue to advance basic research that will lead to the development of effective ways to mitigate these problems."
