[102nd Hakone Ekiden] Send-off ceremony held for Soka University Ekiden Team

On Wednesday, December 17th, we held a farewell party for the Soka University Athletics Club Ekiden Club to participate in the 102nd Tokyo Hakone Round-Trip University Ekiden Race (Hakone Ekiden).

At the farewell party, following the opening movie and the representative greetings by the student cheering squad, 16 entry members, captains, chief managers, and staff were introduced.
On behalf of the team, captain Yoshisho Misaka (Faculty of Law 4th year) talked about his aspirations, saying, "In order to win the overall 3rd place or higher of the goal, we will burn the "fighting spirit" and run through the Hakone Road as a team."
Next, the president of the Yoshihide Akiya of our university introduced the red and blue striped jackets to be used in this tournament, which were handed to Captain Misaka.
Coach Kazuki Enoki expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "Everyone is aware that they are aces and I want to fight with a strong run typical of Soka University."
