Second Year
"Course learning" tailored to your interests begins
From the second year onwards, students will choose a field or topic that interests them and move on to a specialized course. Based on the advanced specialist knowledge they acquire through course subjects, they will develop the ability to apply knowledge to society and communication skills.
For example, in the Legal Course, students develop practical application skills by examining actual legal applications and issues related to various systems through case studies and precedent research in legal practice seminars covering seven major subjects, including constitutional law. The Civil and Business Law Course offers "Business & Law Workshops I-III" to develop practical business skills. The Public Policy and Administration Course offers "Public Policy Workshops A and B" to develop the methods and thinking skills needed to solve policy and public issues. Students comprehensively utilize the knowledge and skills acquired in these workshops, apply them to social issues, and develop creative thinking skills to devise solutions. Furthermore, the all-English "Peace, Human Rights & Sustainability Program (PHRS)" is available to cultivate individuals who can utilize their strong communication skills to play an active role and contribute globally.
In addition to these, specialized seminars starting in the fall semester of the second year cultivate communication skills that allow students to logically explain their own thoughts and reasons on issues where opinions are conflicting, and to reconcile diverse opinions. Through these applied subjects, subjects involving collaborative work in groups, and active learning, students will develop communication skills and the ability to apply knowledge to society.
3rd and 4th year
Students will learn practically through seminars, fieldwork, workshops, and other activities.
Think about how you can utilize your specialized knowledge in society and use it to advance your career.
Students can gain a wide range of experiences through a variety of specialized subjects, study abroad, exploratory and practical projects, and workshops, all of which can be used to advance their careers.
