About insurance (Gakkensai/Gakkenbai)
To ensure that all students can live their student life with peace of mind, our university has students enrolled in two insurance programs run by the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES): "Student Education and Research Accident Insurance (Gakkensai)" and "Gakkensai Supplementary Liability Insurance (Gakkenbai)."
In addition, all students in Faculty of Nursing are required to join the comprehensive compensation system "Will for Students (Will2)" run by the Japan Council of Nursing Schools Mutual Aid Association, a general incorporated association.
Student Education and Research Accident Insurance (Gakkensai)
This insurance covers undergraduate and graduate students as a relief measure in the event that they suffer bodily injury due to a sudden, unexpected, external accident occurring during their educational and research activities in Japan or overseas.

Gakkensai Supplementary Liability Insurance (Gakkenbai)
This insurance covers undergraduate and graduate students against damages incurred as a result of inflicting legal liability for damages due to injury to others or damage to others' property during curricular activities, school events, or extracurricular activities, or while traveling to and from school activities both in Japan and overseas.

Soka University Campus Comprehensive Insurance (Comprehensive Student Life Insurance with Gakken-sai Attachment)

学研災および学研賠では補償が不足する場合や、これらでは補償されないプライベートタイム、アルバイト中のケガや賠償事故など、さらには病気にも備えるために、学研災への上乗せとして任意で加入できる保険です。保険料は自己負担で、別途申し込み手続きが必要です。
