A book review by a student of our university was published in "Book Review Campus at Dokushojin vol.7"

The book "Book Review Campus at Yomiuri Shobojin vol. 7 (2023)" (published by Yomiuri Shobojin) features book reviews by Daiki Kawabe, a senior at Faculty of Letters and Junko Tsuburaya, a senior at Distance Learning Division Faculty of Letters at our university.
The book contains about 50 student book reviews that were published in the column "Book Review Campus" of the weekly newspaper "Shukan Yomiuri Shonin" (published in 2023). Ms. Kawabe wrote a review of "i (eye)" by Kanako Nishi, and Ms. Tsuburaya wrote a review of "52 Hertz Whales" by Sonoko Machida. Comments from the authors themselves are also included in the book.
Mr. Kawabe and Ms. Tsuburaya expressed their delight.
Mr. Daiki Kawabe: "I was astonished to have the book review published, and I did not expect to receive a comment from the author himself, whom I respect and admire. I am filled with gratitude for having such a direct opportunity to connect with the author and the reader. I realized the mystery of wisdom and connection that can only come from the act of reading and thinking, and it made me realize the importance of reading even more. From now on, I will strive to acquire the thinking skills to make the most of my rights as a reader, so that I can lead a reading life full of joy."
Junko Enya "My own book review as a book was a different pleasure from that of the newspaper. It is the best present for me as a person who prefers paper media. The most surprising thing was receiving a comment from the author, Sono Machida. I was delighted that such a wonderful thing could happen, but I thought it was a lie! I was delighted, but I also thought it was a lie (laugh). Receiving Ms. Machida's comment brought me back to the point where I had been away from writing. I'm going to start the act of 'writing' all over again!"
