Representatives of the Student Government Association of the University of Tsukuba exchanged opinions with international students from the Philippines and University of The East

On Wednesday, June 5, Mr. Satoshi Yamate (Faculty of Letters 4th year) and Mr. Hiroto Tsuruta (Faculty of Letters 4th year) of the Waseda University Student Government Association exchanged opinions on student government in Global Square with Ms. Antonia Q. Bayer, who came to Japan for a student training program from University of The East, Philippines.

Soka University's overseas offices have been established in University of The East, and we have been promoting educational and research exchanges between faculty members and students. The exchange of views was part of the University of The East student training program held from Sunday, June 2 to Thursday, June 6.

Ms. Antonia introduced the activities she is working on as a member of the student government association at University of The East. Afterwards, the students from both universities actively exchanged opinions on initiatives and challenges for realizing a better student life.

After exchanging opinions, Ms. Antonia said, "I would like to continue exchanges among the students of the residents' association for the development of both universities."
