  • 専門分野 英語学、英語辞書学
    研究テーマ 現代英語の語法・文法における変化の研究、言語教育のための英文法研究、英語学習者のエラー分析、学習者用英語辞典分析
研究紹介 My research has focused on studying the area of the English verb system, especially the problems of English tense and aspect, investigating proper and effective methods and techniques for teaching the area of English verbs and some most troublesome grammar problems for Japanese students of English, and studying some changes in English grammar and usage in present-day British and American English.
研究、教育方針 My main research interest has been in the investigation of changes in present-day English grammar and usage in British English and American English. I am planning to extend my research into the corpus-based study of English grammar to track and analyze its current changes more extensively and systematically. Another chief interest has been in the area of pedagogical English grammar, studying core grammar points for ESL / EFL students and finding out concrete ideas for teaching them and effective teaching techniques so that students may have a good communication in English according to language situations.

Teaching is by a seminar or on a one-to-one basis. Particular topics are studied and discussed in a small group or between a student and a teacher. Giving some presentations of what they have learned and researched is an essential part of classes.
メッセージ I think that the more you seek for, the more you can get. I do expect that you, who have received “Soka Education,” will fly high into the future as educators and researchers full of humanism. Exert yourself so that you will be able to realize your studies for your dreams.
