2017 Fall Semester Honor Students’ Certificate Ceremony was held

On Wednesday, November 15th, the 2017 fall semester honor students’ certificate ceremony and commemorative dinner were held at the university’s New Loire cafeteria for 108 students that were selected from all 8 undergraduate faculties. University President Yoshihisa Baba and Faculty representatives also participated in the commemorative event.
The university’s honor students are selected amongst undergraduate students that acquire over 16 credits in the spring semester with top GPA in their respective faculties. The selected students each receive about 0,000 as scholarship.

At the ceremony, President Baba stated, “I believe that honor students will become one of the role models for the students to study hard. I would like all of you to build a character that continues to create value in any circumstances; an individual who develops strength of character to contribute to society and others while cultivating intellectual capabilities.”
After the ceremony, the students had a meaningful time at the commemorative dinner and confabulation with Faculty representatives.

Below are some voices from the honor students.
    - “I am grateful for being selected as an honor student. I want to study even harder without being satisfied with the current state. I want to challenge in
extra-curricular activities as well and develop stronger characters.” (second year, female)
    - “This year is my second time being selected as an honor student. I want to continue learning not only to acquire credits or diploma but to be the person I
want to become in the future by always questioning what needs to be done at the moment.” (second year, male)
