Holding of the “1st Start-up Seminar for New Faculty Members for Academic Year 2018”

On May 12 (Saturday) at Soka University’s Central Education Tower “Global Square,” the “1st Start-up Seminar for New Faculty Members for Academic Year 2018” took place, joined by the 30 new faculty members that embarked on new posts after September in the last academic year.

After a question & answer session, in the second session during which a lunch meeting was held, a presentation and workshop was led by CETL Director Masamitsu Mochizuki on “Soka University’s Engagement in Active Learning,” and opinions were actively exchanged.

I was also able to ask many questions and gained great knowledge,” and “Based on today’s seminar, I hope to introduce and use competency appraisals and conduct active learning-type classes in order to conduct fulfilling classes.”
