On Sunday, July 8th, at the COOL HACHIOJI YUKATA FESTIVAL 3rd Hachioji student Mister and Miss Yukata Contest, Soka University Science and Engineering 3rd year student Yuto Kimura won “Mister Yukata” held at Hachioji station Yokoyama Chou Park.
This contest is held for university and college students in the Hachioji city area, who are currently enrolled in their universities and colleges. This was the third time the contest was held and 101 students from 33 different colleges applied, 20 men and women were selected and appeared in their Yukata’s on Sunday, July 8th.

During an interview with the winner Mr. Kimura said, “In one of my classes, I learned the city of Hachioji were looking for students to help or participate in activities within the communities. As a student living in Hachioji, I took this opportunity and applied. The result was not because of me, but for the people who supported me not just for the contest but throughout the years. From now on, I would like to do my utmost best in my studies and job hunting.”
