On December 20th, an exchange between 43 sixth graders from Kasumi Elementary School and 3 teachers visited Soka University attended an English class prepared by university students and also experienced meeting with international students at Chit Chat Club.

During the exchange with international students, Kasumi Elementary School students played card games and communicated in English with international students from Indonesia, Malaysia, USA, India, Philippines, Kenya, Germany, etc.

This event is held every year by Faculty of Education “English Special Lecture” course taught by Associate Professor Daniel Sasaki. Every month during the school year, the students of the course go to Kasumi Elementary School to teach English. Every December the sixth graders are excited to meet with the international students and this has become an official school event.
