Party from Peking University’s Party Secretary Visits Soka University

On July 24 (Wednesday), Party Secretary Qiu Shuiping and his group from Peking University of China, which is one of Soka University’s academic exchange partners, visited Soka University and met with President Yoshihisa Baba and others.

In 1980, Peking University tied an exchange agreement with Soka University in what was the first agreement ever made with a university in Japan. This strong relationship was established through continued education and research exchanges. Then, in 2006, the Soka University Beijing Office was established at Peking University.

Party Secretary Qiu shared, “We are about to welcome the 40th anniversary since the start of exchange between the two universities. As we have continued to carry out exchange activities, we have been able to foster many capable individuals that can contribute to social development. We would like to further strengthen this relationship toward the 50th and 100th anniversaries of the development of friendship between the two nations of Japan and China.”
