Kassa Gebrehiwot, Ethiopian Ambassador to Japan, visits Soka University

    On November 28th (Thursday), Kassa Gebrehiwot, Ethiopian Ambassador to Japan visited Soka University. The ambassador toured the Faculty of Science and Engineering Building and met with President Yoshihisa Baba and others at Soka University's Central Education Tower (Global Square).

    In relation to Ethiopia, Soka University’s project plan "Establishment of a Recycling-oriented Society in Developing Countries” (PLANTE3T Project) was adopted by the "Private University Research Branding Project" announced by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in November 2017.

    Ethiopia is the model area for our project and joint research is carried out together with Bahir Dar University and Injibara University.
    Ambassador Kassa Gebrehiwot said that he is well aware of the “Private University Research Branding Project” and shared his expectations that through this project, a deep relationship between students of Soka University and Ethiopia will be forged. The ambassador expressed his hopes that these exchanges will develop into various aspects.
