Exchange Program

The ILE: TESOL Program actively seeks to expand exchange opportunities with other universities in countries outside of Japan to provide additional international perspectives to our students' graduate studies.

The SUJ/KMUTT TESOL Exchange Program offers graduate students from both institutions the opportunity to explore language-teaching practices in diverse international contexts while enhancing their cultural understanding and exchange skills, which are essential for teaching English worldwide. The program, limited to two students annually, involves two components: the first half takes place in Thailand at KMUTT, where students gain teaching experience, attend lectures, visit schools, observe classrooms, give presentations, and engage in cultural experiences. The second half of the program is conducted in Japan, offering similar opportunities for teaching, attending lectures, school visits, classroom observations, presentations, and cultural immersion. Exchange students receive housing and tuition waivers, but are responsible for travel, insurance, and other incidental expenses.
