The ILE: TESOL Program has been a transformative journey, shaping both my teaching philosophy and professional growth. Throughout these two years, I explored innovative teaching methodologies, engaged in insightful discussions with a diverse cohort, and gained invaluable hands-on experience. The unwavering support from professors, along with practical teaching opportunities such as my practicum in a Japanese undergraduate English language class helped bridge the gap between theory and practice. Now, as I teach English in an elementary school, I find myself applying these learned strategies to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment. Looking ahead, I aspire to pursue a PhD to further explore how language learning can be enhanced through game-based and narrative-driven approaches. This program has not only equipped me with essential teaching skills but also strengthened my commitment to research and lifelong learning in the field of language education.
