I appreciate this program for a number of reasons. First and foremost, the design of the program, including content, teacher observations, and lesson planning activities, ensures that you can build enough confidence to successfully teach your own independent courses in the future. Also, the program teaches theory and practice methodically and in an organized manner. Secondly, with the faculty's guidance, you are sure to grow exponentially. The third reason is that as a future language educator, I now feel confident about stepping into a classroom and teaching a lesson. The in-class academic reviews and presentation of teaching techniques help me feel more certain about the material and gives me new ideas about how it could be presented to students effectively. My future goals are teaching at the university level, getting a Ph.D., and carrying out research on intercultural understanding.
