Professor U. Aytun Ozturk of FILA has received the award for the best online presentation at the 2022 Travel and Tourism Research Association (TTRA) Asia Pacific Conference held in Fiji in December. The presentation, titled "Is intention a valid surrogate measure for tourist behavior? Evidence from a two-wave study" showcased the research project he has been working on for the past six years.

   TTRA is the premier travel and tourism research association, and its Asia Pacific Conference provides a valuable platform for researchers to present their findings to a broader audience of experts and professionals. Prof. Ozturk's work, which was supported by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science KAKENHI, was well received by both attendees and judges, including participants from universities such as Meiji, Hokkaido, and Wakayama Universities in Japan as well as other leading research universities in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, China, the Philippines, and Taiwan.
