From September 16th to 17th, Professor Ichiro Sugimoto participated in a symposium held at New Era University in Malaysia. The symposium explored the peaceful connections between Chinese civilization and the Malay world from historical, cultural, and linguistic perspectives.
On the 17th, Prof. Datuk Seri Dr. Awang bin Sariyan, a prominent researcher in the field of Malay linguistics and a Malaysian senator, delivered a keynote speech. The symposium provided an opportunity to build new friendships with researchers from around the world.
