【FILA】Center for Malaysian Studies Opening Ceremony
On Thursday, April 25th, we had the honor of hosting the Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan at Soka University for the opening ceremony of our Center of Malaysia Studies.
Attended by the Ambassador of Malaysia, representatives from the National University of Malaysia and University of Malaya, as well as President Suzuki of Soka University, the ceremony was warmly welcomed by our students. Following a presentation by Representative Sugimoto at the main building, discussing our activities and future prospects, we proceeded to Building C for a tour of the research facilities, accompanied by our distinguished guests.
Subsequent discussions were held between representatives from the National University of Malaysia and our faculty members, as well as with the delegation from the University of Malaya and students who participated in the International Fieldwork in February.
The Center of Malaysian Studies aims not only to foster Malaysian studies but also to engage in various initiatives toward the achievement of Soka University's goals in research, education, SDGs, and diversity.
In conjunction with the inauguration ceremony, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Center of Malaysian Studies' website, which we invite you to visit at your convenience.
