-What feelings would you like to convey to your parents now?
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to my parents for allowing me to attend Soka University. I am particularly thankful for their unwavering support in always encouraging me to pursue anything I wanted to do. Whether I struggled to keep up in classes or faced challenges in club activities, they consistently believed in me and encouraged me. Thanks to their continuous support, I was able to overcome obstacles and accomplish my personal challenges. The knowledge and experiences gained at the university have become invaluable assets for me, and I truly feel fortunate to have come to the university.

-Do you have any memorable experiences with your parents during your student life?
When I was a freshman, there was a time when I couldn't keep up with the classes in this faculty and ended up crying. At that difficult moment, they came alongside me, offering support to solve the problems I was facing. To boost my motivation, they recommended some books. Additionally, when I faced challenges as the captain of the club, they offered valuable advice on the mindset of a captain and how to interact with the team. Their support and encouragement were truly a source of strength for me.

-How was your high school life?
During high school, I was a member of the soft tennis club, spending my days immersed in club activities. Additionally, through school trips, I had the opportunity to interact with people from other countries, which sparked my interest in English.
-What has changed since entering FILA?
The most significant growth for me has been learning to consider things from the perspective of others. When I was a senior, I served as the captain of my club, which taught me to act and speak with empathy towards others, considering what kind of encouragement would uplift them and inspire their determination. Moreover, I deeply felt that I could pursue what I wanted because of the support from those around me.

-What are your most memorable experiences in FILA?
My most cherished memory is the trip to Taiwan with my seminar group. Due to the impact of COVID-19, I had thought there would be no opportunity to travel abroad during my time at university, as even studying abroad had shifted to online platforms. However, amidst this situation, our seminar teacher kindly invited us to Taiwan, where we enjoyed various activities such as interacting with locals, tasting Taiwanese cuisine, and exploring tourist attractions. Everyone we met was kind and welcoming, and I felt the warmth of the people in Taiwan. There were also plenty of opportunities to speak English, and I felt truly grateful for all the diligent studying I had done up to that point.

Message for the prospective students
For me, the university is a place where one can experience growth beyond their imagination and encounter the best friends. Once you enter university, I hope you'll take on challenges that you can wholeheartedly feel proud of accomplishing. I believe that such experiences will undoubtedly become invaluable assets in your life. Even if you may sometimes doubt the purpose of your studies, I am confident that moments will come when you'll look back and be grateful for what you've learned. Believe in yourself and keep striving forward!
