【FILA】 Career Gateway 2024 Corporate Award
On Saturday, January 18, 2025, Ms. Hanae Okuda, a third-year student at the School of International Liberal Studies, received a Corporate Award at the "Career Gateway 2024" Business Contest Grand Prix Final held at SHIBUYA QWS.
This contest, now in its third year, is organized by Benesse i-Career Co., Ltd. and centers on the theme of the SDGs. A record number of 90 proposals were submitted from 70 universities across Japan, with a total of 125 participants. Ms. Okuda passed the preliminary round and was selected as one of the eight finalist teams (14 participants in total). She presented her proposal before a panel of judges from 14 companies and an audience of over 100 people.
Ms. Okuda proposed “NutriWise,” a nutrition management app incorporating gamification. The app allows users to log their meals and acquire nutritional knowledge through mini-games during their free time. Her concept encourages continued engagement with the app and aims to help users establish healthier lifestyle habits.
Reflecting on the contest, Ms. Okuda commented, “Among so many high-level proposals, I gained more than just an award—I learned a great deal. Although I nearly gave up at one point, I’m glad I persevered to the end. I’m truly grateful to everyone who supported me, and I hope to keep challenging myself in the future.”
