Why did you choose Soka University and FILA?

I chose SOKA University because its values deeply resonated with my own. I’ve always believed that education should be centered on people and contribute to creating a more peaceful and compassionate world. Dr. Daisaku Ikeda’s philosophy—that true happiness comes from contributing to others—truly inspired me. His humanistic approach encouraged me to reflect on my own purpose and motivated me to become someone who can make a positive impact on society.
The Faculty of International Liberal Arts (FILA) attracted me because of its interdisciplinary approach to global issues such as climate change, inequality, and conflict resolution. I was particularly drawn to how the program encourages critical thinking from multiple cultural and academic perspectives. As someone who aspires to work in international policy and public service, I felt that FILA would provide the ideal foundation.
Since enrolling, I’ve had the opportunity to engage with diverse classmates and professors, which has broadened my worldview. I’ve also been improving both my Japanese and English skills, which are essential for my future goals in global communication and diplomacy.
Choosing SOKA FILA was one of the best decisions I’ve made. It continues to equip me not only with academic knowledge, but also with the values and mindset needed to serve others and contribute to a better world.

How did you find FILA?

My mother was the first person who told me about SOKA University. After that, I wanted to learn more, so I visited the official SOKA University website to find a major that suited me. That’s when I discovered the Faculty of International Liberal Arts (FILA), and I felt it truly matched my interests.
I also have Thai seniors who are currently studying in FILA. They shared their experiences with me, saying that the professors are kind, the classes are engaging, and they have learned many new things. Hearing their stories made me even more excited and confident that SOKA University is the right choice for me.
What I like most about SOKA University is that it doesn’t just focus on academic knowledge—it also supports students in growing as good human beings and global citizens. I want to study in a place where I can learn about the world and how to contribute to society.
With the encouragement of my family and the information I found through my own research, I became even more determined to join SOKA University. I believe it will help me achieve my goals and become someone who can make a positive difference in the world.

What are your impressions of student life at FILA?

I’ve made good friends here at SOKA University. We understand each other well, and they truly listen to me. Before coming here, I spent many months praying—not just to succeed academically, but to enjoy both studying and living here, no matter what challenges I might face. I prayed for a strong heart that could overcome anything. Now, I genuinely feel happy every day when I wake up and head to class. Even though the workload is heavy and the classes are demanding, I find joy in learning. I feel motivated and productive, and I can see how I’ve grown in many ways—both academically and personally.
I’m especially happy to study Japanese every weekday, and I also really enjoy my Politics and English classes. This is the life I had dreamed of for years. Now that I’m finally living it, I feel no disappointment at all. SOKA University is a wonderful place, and I’m truly grateful to study and live here. I also enjoy greeting friends and seniors I meet on campus.
One of the main challenges in this faculty is learning how to plan well, set priorities, and manage time carefully. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed and unsure if I can handle everything. When that happens, I remind myself to simply do my best and take things one step at a time. If it becomes too much, I know it’s okay to take a break. I try to balance my health and personal life alongside my studies, so I can continue growing in a healthy and meaningful way.

What is your future plan after graduation from FILA?

After graduating from FILA, I plan to continue studying in the fields of public policy or sustainable development through a master’s degree. My main goal is to build a career in policy-making, focusing on humanitarian and environmental issues. I want to work with international organizations like the United Nations or non-governmental groups to help reduce poverty, promote equality, and protect the environment.
During my time at SOKA University, I want to gain strong knowledge about how governments work, how policies are made, and how to lead with ethics and compassion. I’m especially interested in subjects like politics, development, and leadership. These will help me understand the root causes of problems and how to solve them in fair and effective ways.
I believe that education is not only for personal growth but also for helping others. I want to use what I learn at SOKA University to make a difference in Thai society and the world. I also hope to share this knowledge with my community to inspire positive change. My dream is to help create a future where everyone can live with dignity, equal rights, and opportunities for a better life.
