Prof. Kiyoko F. Aoki-Kinoshita’s paper was published in Glycobiology

On May 2, 2023, the U.S. scientific journal Glycobiology published a paper titled "Bridging Glycoinformatics and cheminformatics: integration efforts between GlyCosmos and PubChem" written by Prof. Kiyoko F. Aoki-Kinoshita, Deputy Director of Soka University Glycan and Life System Integration Center (GaLSIC), and the other researchers. This paper describes the linkage of glycan-related information from GlyCosmos, a glycoscience portal developed by Professor Kinoshita and her colleagues, and compound-related information from PubChem, a compound database portal operated by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States.
The data linkage between the two portals has resulted in the complementary integration of important information about chemical and physical properties such as glycan structures, glycan-related gene information, chemical structures and IDs of glycoproteins, and pathways.
Thereby, glycan researchers and chemical researchers can widely use the information related to glycans mutually through both portals.
