SATREPS-EARTH Project Members Visit JICA Ethiopia office

On March 12, four project members, including Vice President Prof. Kandachi, visited the JICA Ethiopia Office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The project team shared the objective of their visit and provided an overview of discussions held with organizations visited during their stay.

JICA representatives highly valued the project's collaboration with Mulmul Bakery from the early stages to develop food products containing spirulina, noting that few SATREPS projects have involved local companies in the social implementation of research outcomes.

They also expressed hope that the research outcomes will continue to be utilized after the project's completion and that food products containing EARTH-produced spirulina will be widely adopted in Ethiopia through collaboration with United Nations agencies.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to exchange views on the project's future prospects beyond its completion.
